- Apply ghee (purified butter) on the lips to maintain the moisture level.
- Tea bags are also useful for this purpose. Dip tea bags in hot water and press warm tea bags on your lips to keep them soft by increasing the moisture level.
- Application of shea butter also helps keep the lips soft.
- Having moisturizing and healing properties, honey acts as an excellent remedy for dry and cracked lips. Application of honey also cures the small cuts on lips.
- Make a smooth paste by mixing beeswax and extra virgin oil. Apply this paste on the lips to heal cracked lips.
- Application of Aloe Vera gel or the flesh of Aloe Vera soothes and cools the damaged lips and provides softness.
- Mix milk cream and rose petals. Apply it on the lips and keep it overnight. It is an excellent remedy for keeping the lips soft and supple. It also helps in restoring the pink color. Application of only milk cream also cures the dryness of lips.
