Also known by the names of raccoon attack and bags under the eyes, these dark circles are now a days very common problem. - Make a paste of honey and one teaspoon of milk powder. Apply this paste on the dark circles avoiding contact with eyes. Wash off after leaving for few minutes.
- Mix one teaspoon of tomato juice, few drops of lemon juice, a pinch of turmeric powder and orange lentil flour to make a paste. Apply it on the dark eye circles avoiding it getting into the eyes. Leave for 15 to 20 minutes and wash off.
- Used tea bags are also good in reducing dark circles. Place cool tea bags (refrigerated for few hours or overnight) on eyes for atleast 10 minutes to a maximum of 15-20 minutes. Keep your eyes closed and make sure that it is not wet as the contact of tea with eyes can be irritating.
- Applying Vitamin E, Olive or Almond oil on the dark circles helps minimize them.
- Application of good company eye cream or gel (preferably herbal ones) before going to bed at night or as directed also seem to benefit the skin.
- Concealers can be used for covering up the dark circles instantly but bleach should be avoided for the same.
